Can my child have LALA® products?
Our products are safe for the whole family. But for children under two, we suggest you contact your physician. If your child has any allergies, please read the ingredients before allowing them to consume.
Are LALA products gluten free?
Although most our products are inherently gluten free, our Drinkable Yogurt Smoothies do come in a few flavors (Pecan Cereal, Prune Cereal and Strawberry Banana Cereal) that do contain gluten from wheat.
However, we do not certify our products or test for gluten cross-contamination in our facilities.
What is the source of LALA’s modified starch?
The modified starch is made from corn.
What is pasteurization?
Pasteurization is a process, named after scientist Louis Pasteur, that applies heat to destroy pathogens in foods. For the dairy industry, the terms “pasteurization” or “pasteurized” mean the process of heating up every particle of raw milk or milk product, to temperatures and times required by the FDA.
What is UHT?
UHT, or “Ultra High Temperature,” is a common process of pasteurizing where milk is heated over 280°F for 2 seconds to be sterilized. It is often associated with packaged milk that is shelf stable at room temperature (before opening).
Does LALA yogurt contain artificial sweeteners?
Our Yogurt Smoothies do not – we use sucrose (table sugar) and rebiana (Stevia extract).
Our Cup Yogurt does contain artificial sweeteners – it contains sucrose (table sugar), sucralose (an FDA approved sugar substitute) and high fructose corn syrup.
What is Stevia?
Stevia is a plant-based sweetener that’s been used for hundreds of years as a natural, non-caloric sweetener.
Do you add any artificial colors to your products?
There are no artificial colors in our Yogurt Smoothies or Good Kids products. There are, however, artificial colors in our Cup Yogurt and in our Gelatin snacks. Please see individual product pages for details.
Do LALA products contain live and active cultures?
Yes, both our Cup Yogurts and Yogurt Smoothies contain live and active yogurt cultures.
Do your yogurts contain probiotics?
All LALA® yogurt products contain probiotics except blended and frusion.
Are LALA products Kosher?
Yes, all our products are certified Kosher.
Is LALA milk GMO free?
Our milk is non-GMO. However, we can’t guarantee that the cows our milk is from were not given GMO feed, such as corn or soy.
Is LALA Yogurt low-fat?
Both our Yogurt Smoothies and our Cup Yogurt are made with low-fat milk.
Are your products rBST/rBGH free?
Yes, all of our milk products are rBST Free.
Can I freeze your product?
Yes. Just a heads up, when dairy products are frozen, the texture after thawing may be affected and it may not retain all of its live culture activity. You might see some separation or roughness, but the product is safe to consume.
We do, however, advise against re-freezing it.
What is the ideal temperature for storing LALA products?
It is best to store yogurt product between 41 and 42 degrees Fahrenheit and not to go above 45 degrees.
Are LALA products made from real milk?
Yes, our products are made using real Grade A milk.
Is it safe to eat consumer LALA products after the best-by date?
All of our products are diligently tested by our Quality Assurance Department to ensure that our quality standards are met up to the best-by date. We cannot promise that our quality standards will be maintained after the best-by date.
Are your LALA products recyclable?
The bottles for Yogurt Smoothies, the tubs for Cup Yogurts and Crema, and containers for UHT Milks are all recyclable. Just please remove the sleeves on the tubs and bottles before placing them in your recycle bin.
Do you have any dairy-free yogurts for people who are lactose intolerant or have milk allergies?
We do not offer any dairy-free yogurts in the U.S. market at this time.
Is there anyone who should not consume LALA products?
Yes, anyone with milk allergies or lactose intolerance should consult a physician. Also, some smoothie products contain wheat, coconut and nuts such as pecans and almonds. Anyone with allergies to those ingredients should consult a physician before consuming those specific products.
