LALA products are safe for the whole family. But for children under two, we suggest you contact your physician. If your child has any allergies, please read the ingredients before allowing them to consume.

Is there anyone who should not consume LALA products?

Yes, anyone with milk allergies or lactose intolerance should consult a physician. Also, some smoothie products contain wheat, coconut and nuts such as pecans and almonds. Anyone with allergies to those ingredients should consult a physician before consuming those specific products.

What is UHT?

UHT is ultra-pasteurized. The milk is heated to a higher temperature than normal pasteurization. This milk does not have to be kept refrigerated until opened and it has a much longer shelf life than non-UHT milk.

What is pasteurization?

Pasteurization is a process which slows microbial growth in foods. Unlike sterilization, pasteurization is not meant to kill all microorganisms in the food. Instead, pasteurization aims to reduce the number of viable pathogens so they are unlikely to cause disease (assuming the pasteurized product is refrigerated and consumed before the expiration date).

Are LALA products gluten free?

Gluten is a protein found in wheat and other cereal grains. It is the protein that makes flour dough elastic and keeps it together. All LALA products are gluten-free with the exception of our LALA Yogurt Smoothie varieties including: Pecan Cereal, Strawberry Banana Cereal, Prune Cereal, Vanilla Almond Cereal and our LALA Curb Yogurt Smoothies.

Are your products rBST/rBGH free?

Yes, all of our milk products are rBST Free. rBST (recombinant bovine somatotropin) and rBGH are synthetic growth hormones often given to dairy cattle by injection to prevent decreased milk production over time.

Can I freeze your product?

When dairy products are frozen, the texture after thawing may be affected and it may not retain all of its live culture activity. You might see some separation or roughness, but the product is safe to consume. We do advise against re-freezing it.
